Ridgeline Product Page Redesign

Redesign of product detail page for Ridgeline, a popular outdoor clothing company

The Problem

Ridgeline, a fictional outdoor clothing company sought redesign for their product details page (PDP). User research found that Ridgeline’s website visitors experienced difficulty navigating the page, identifying key information, and confusion while selecting colors and sizes.

The primary objective of this project was to enhance the user experience and increase number of sales of apparel by creating an engaging interface for potential customers to explore the site’s offerings.

Website Features

To create a more memorable and satisfying customer experience, the following additions and changes were made to Ridgeline’s product details page:

  • Creation of a navigation bar that allows users to easily navigate between various pages on the Ridgeline website

  • Addition of dynamic buttons to select preferred color and size of product

  • Dynamic display of images that allows customers to visualize the product in detail from various angles

  • Improved color scheme to provide proper color contrast to help users with visual impairments to interact with the content more easily

Project Outcomes

The redesigned PDP promoted an streamlined and improved user experience that has lead to an increase in conversations and user engagement. The success of this project illustrates my ability to deliver effective UX solutions that align with specific business goals.

Key Learnings

This project has provided me with invaluable insight into e-commerce UX design and the importance of understanding a user journey and preferences. By working within a businesses specific design constraints, I was able to flex my creativity to create unique solutions that benefit the business needs and goals while maintaining a visually-pleasing interface.
